Prayer for the Pope

Dear God,

Thank You for giving us Pope Francis.

He loved Your people and showed us how to care for the poor and those in need.

Now that he is with You in heaven, please hold him close in Your love.

Forgive his mistakes, and fill him with Your light and peace.

Please watch over our Church during this special time.

Help the Cardinals choose a new pope—someone who listens to You and loves like Jesus.

Give them wisdom, courage, and kind hearts to do what is right.

God, You know who the next pope should be.

Help us welcome him with open hearts.

May he be a leader who loves deeply, prays often, and shines with Your love in the world.

You are the beginning and the end, the God of life and love.

May Your will be done always.

Amen.
