The Easter Triduum

As we approach the Easter season, we have come together as a Catholic community to observe the Easter Triduum, a sacred period that marks the culmination of Lent and the beginning of Easter. This special time encompasses Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, each day filled with profound significance and spiritual depth.

The children participated in a class liturgy to commemorate Holy Thursday, in particular  the Last Supper, where Jesus instituted the Eucharist and washed the disciples' feet.

The children participated in the Stations of the Cross in the church to commemorate Good Friday as a day of solemn remembrance of Jesus' crucifixion and death. It was beautiful to see the infants join in singing, "We Remember" as Father Wojciech spoke to them about the depth of God's love and the sacrifice He made for us. He reminded them that Jesus will rise from the dead at Easter.

We will celebrate Easter with a whole school liturgy when we return from school holidays in Term Two.  The Resurrection of Jesus, symbolising hope, renewal, and the triumph of life over death.

I warmly encourage all families and children to join their parish for the Easter Triduum masses. Participating in these celebrations is a wonderful way to deepen your faith and connect with the community.

I extend my heartfelt blessings to you and your families. May the joy and hope of the Resurrection fill your hearts and homes. May the love of Christ guide you throughout the year, and may you always find peace and happiness in His presence.

Wishing you a blessed and joyful Easter,
