Well done to our three Karuta teams, who participated in an energetic and enthusiastic competition against eight other Ballarat schools last week. It was a great chance to put their hiragana skills to the test, racing to find the correct card before their opponents. All teams showed wonderful sportsmanship and stayed engaged throughout every round. Each team won at least half of their matches and our red team even finished the day undefeated! We placed a close 4th overall—great job, everyone!

We also farewell Noriko Sensei until next year. We thank her for always being willing to share her knowledge and kindness with all students lucky enough to learn from her. We are especially grateful for the extra time she volunteers for events like our Japan Day Festival and school fete. Arigatou gozaimasu!
