School Council News

Council met on Tuesday the 18th November for the last meeting for the year. In preperation for 2026 there will be a signifigant number of returning, retiring and departing staff. This has allowed for an effective reshuffling of the broader staff cohort for betterment of student learning throughout the various specialties, along with some new faces.
It of course went without saying council was a buzz with excitment with the Seaside Fair on the coming weekend, the weekend was a great success by all accounts. It was great to see the community out in full force in support of the school for a fantastic day.
Updates to the digital device policy has been issued for community response and we invite any questions to be directed to Mat.
Works are underway with scaffolding being erected after Seaside Fair for the maintenance works to be completed on the bluestone building and will be in place over the next few months to complete the works. Red brick building toilet works is on schedule, to be completed sometime in December.
Results from the 2025 NAPLAN assessments show strong performance across the school, with a high percentage of students achieving Strong and Exceeding in all assessed areas. This reflects the impact of our whole-school focus on high-quality teaching, targeted support, and consistent instructional practices.
Our overall 2025 School Performance Report places the school in the High category for academic achievement and as an overall school rating—a reflection of sustained improvement and strong student outcomes.
The school structure for 2026 and beyond looks to continue to maintain and build on this growth and achievement.
