Principal's Message

Dear Parents, 

FAREWELL TO FR ANDERSON

Sadly, we will be farewelling Fr Anderson at the end of this year. Although Fr Anderson was with us for only a short time, the impact he has made on our community has been profound. Staff, students, parents, the St Aidan’s community, and the Holy Family Parish have all built positive relationships with him and cherished the opportunity to walk beside him in faith. His presence has been a blessing, and he will be deeply missed.

We count ourselves very fortunate to have had Fr Anderson in our lives, even briefly, and he will be fondly remembered for his kindness, guidance, and genuine care. As he begins his new ministry at St Patrick’s Church, The Rocks, Sydney, we extend our heartfelt thanks and prayers. May God continue to bless and keep him safe always.

CEF MULTI-SPORT COLOUR EVENT

On Wednesday our students took part in our annual CEF Multi-Sport Colour Event which was filled with excitement and plenty of colour! A huge thank you to the St Aidan's staff for organising and running such a fun event. 

We are also incredibly grateful to our generous community for their support. Thanks to your donations we raised over $1000 for the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). These funds will go a long way in helping students from families in need access educational opportunities.

END OF YEAR KINDER - YEAR 5 AWARDS

I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all of our students for their individual achievements and the remarkable learning growth they have shown this year. Each of them has walked their own path, faced their own challenges, and grown in ways that deserve recognition and celebration.

I would like to acknowledge the way our students continue to embed our Brigidine Charism in everything they do demonstrating, compassion, respect, justice, forgiveness and charity. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or out in the community, they consistently demonstrate the values that define us here at St Aidan's. The kindness our students show towards each other and the resilience they demonstrate when faced with challenges makes me so proud to be their principal.

This year at our End of Year Awards Assembly, we introduced something a little different. Each student was invited forward to receive a certificate that celebrated their own individual achievements. The certificate each student received was more than a simple award as it represented a personal snapshot of each child’s journey throughout the year. Together with their teachers, our students took time to reflect on their experiences: the moments that they were proud of, the goals they reached, and the challenges they had worked hard to overcome. Each certificate was a meaningful reminder of growth, resilience, and achievement.

This was a celebration of growth, of effort, and of character. It was a reminder that success is not just measured by grades or trophies, but by the courage to try, the strength to persist, and the heart to care.

We are so proud of our students at St Aidan's. They are the reason we do what we do. They inspire us, teach us, and remind us every day of the power of learning and the beauty of community.

Congratulations once again to every single one of our students here at St Aidan’s for an amazing 2025. It’s time to celebrate each other, and the incredible year we have shared.

May this year be one of GOODNESS, TRUTH and BEAUTY.
