Riverina First Nations Dance Ensemble

Alleah, Laylah and Kahlia proudly represented our school at the Barradambang Dancers (First Nations Dance Ensemble) audition/workshop in Wagga Wagga. Throughout the day, the girls participated in an inspiring program that combines traditional and contemporary dance, builds performance skills, and strengthens connections to culture. They worked with highly accomplished Wiradjuri choreographer Ella Havelka, showing excellent focus, confidence and willingness to have a go.
Alleah was selected to be part of the 2026 team and returned on Tuesday for the additional workshop and rehearsals, where successful students learned and refined a choreographed piece for submission to The Riverina Dance Festival and State Dance Festival. We are incredibly proud of all three students for their commitment, cultural pride and the way they embraced this amazing opportunity.
