Farewell Michelle Leek

As many of you are aware, Donvale Primary School is fortunate to be partnered with Uniting, who provide us with practitoners to run a Family Wellbeing program. This program provides families with short-term intervention as well as parenting support, NDIS linkages, advocacy, as well as other services. This term Uniting has also be hosting our Treehouse program after school.

It is with much sadness that our practitioner, Michelle Leek, will be finishing up at Donvale. Michelle and her partner have bought a home in the Gippsland area and she has also picked up a new job in that area.

Michelle has helped so many families and staff these past few years, and we will miss her smile, cheery disposition and can do attitude. She has liaised with families, organised and paid for assessments and offered parental support and guidance which has helped our students in countless ways.

We wish her all the best on her new adventure.

Parent Helper Course

We held an online session of the Parent Helper course on Thursday 6th June at 7pm. We had a successful session with around 13 parents attending. All up we have had 50 parents attend the Parent Helper Course either in person or online.

A gentle reminder (to those parents who have completed the course) to sign and return the Parent Helper and Volunteer Agreement 2024 to the office, along with your Working With Children's Check (WWCC).
