Assistant Principal's Message

Last Friday our Prep teachers hosted some educators from Renown Kindergarten.  They came to observe the high quality instruction in Literacy and Numeracy sessions at our school.  They made many positive and complimentary comments about the school and classroom routines, structure of lessons, students ability to engage in the lessons and how the teachers were able to explicitly scaffold the learning process for the students. 

It’s the continued partnerships that we foster within our local community that then leads to strong connections for our students and families.  The educators walked away knowing a little more about our school and felt that they would be able to respond to questions from families about what school at Toorak would look like for their students.

As we continue to foster our community engagement, we are thrilled to announce a new initiative at Toorak Primary School aimed at fostering collaboration, engagement, and a stronger sense of community within our school. Introducing the Parent/Carer Skills Database—a dynamic platform designed to identify and harness the diverse skill sets within our incredible parent/carer community.

We believe that each parent brings a unique set of skills and talents to our school community. Whether you excel in event planning, graphic design, IT, cooking, marketing or any other field, your expertise is a valuable asset that can contribute to the growth and success of our school.
