Course Selection for 2025

The process for students selecting their pathways and subjects for 2025 will begin at the start of Term 3. This is an exciting opportunity for students to make decisions about their studies next year. Students from Year 8 onwards have elective subjects, with students being able to increasingly focus their studies on their areas of strength and interest as they progress into the senior year levels.
The subject selection process will begin with the distribution of year level handbooks at the end of term. These handbooks explain the course selection process, the course options, and the supports available to students. One exciting development that we have for this year is that some sections of the booklets will be translated into Mandarin to support access from our Mandarin-speaking community.
Students will be able to speak first-hand with the teachers and current students of different subjects in our subject expos. A lunchtime expo will run for current Year 7 and 8 students to learn about the elective options for Year 8 and 9 next year. For current Year 9 to Year 11 students and their families, we are running our annual Senior Expo on the evening of Wednesday 24th July.
Year 9 to Year 11 students will be supported through individualised course advising sessions in which they will provide their course preferences for next year. This year we are inviting parents to participate in these course advising sessions.

Junior School Subject Selection Parent Information Sessions
The Junior School parent information sessions will be run on Thurs 18th July and delivered online using Webex. Registration is not required.

Senior Subject Selection Expo, including Parent Information Sessions
The Senior Expo is compulsory for current Year 9 and 10 students and optional for Year 11 students. Students and parents can explore the subjects that can be selected for next year.
We will be running a range of parent information sessions during the Senior Expo. Parents must book for some of these sessions as venue space is limited. Additional sessions will be created if required. This year, we are offering some sessions that will include Mandarin translation to support our Mandarin-speaking community to engage with this important information.
