Our school, like many others nationwide, will take part in the sixth Australian Early Development Census (AEDC). This census monitors students' progress by assessing their development in five key areas when they begin full-time schooling.

Our Kindergarten teachers are currently administering the Australian Early Development Census. This census contributes to a comprehensive understanding of our children's health and wellness as they enter school.

Teachers respond to inquiries covering five critical areas crucial for children's growth:

1. Physical health and wellness

2. Social competence

3. Emotional maturity

4. Language and cognitive skills (school-based)

5. Communication skills and general knowledge

Upon completion of data collection for the 2024 Australian Early Development Census AEDC, our Kindergarten teachers will analyze the data, which will then be prepared for release in March 2025.

The census results are aggregated for groups of children at local, state, and national levels to ensure anonymity for both children and schools.
