Principal's Report
This weekend we wish the candidates for Confirmation and First Communion all the very best. It is the culmination of a very significant step in the faith lives of our Grade 3 sacramental group. After a thorough preparation we congratulate the candidates for confirmation and first communion as they celebrate their special day with Bishop Shane. We are extremely proud of the commitment and enthusiasm the children, their families and teachers have put into being prepared for a special day.
Thanks to everyone who came to join us for our Mother's Day ‘Muffins for Mum’ at school on Monday. It was great to see so many special people in our school celebrating the mums and special people in our lives. A big thank you to the Parents who volunteered to ensure we had a successful morning for all.
Enrolment for 2025 closes on Friday 24th, and we encourage those intending to begin school to return applications as soon as possible.
Sickness
As our weather at the moment is very inconsistent there seems to be some sickness in the community. We currently have a large number of students and staff away due to various illnesses and we hope they are all feeling better soon. We have also sent quite a number of students home from school who are presenting to sick bay throughout the day.
We are asking families to assist us in making sure our school community stays safe and well by keeping your children at home if they are unwell, especially if they have cold and flu or Covid symptoms.
Cybersafety
It is important that we continue together to educate our students about safe and positive online behaviour and encourage them to think before they post, text or share; be respectful online; avoid posting things that may upset others; and understand that content can remain online forever and can be shared by others without permission. Please be mindful of apps such as Snapchat, Facebook and Musically, just to name a few. These are online environments set up for children over the age of 13 years. These spaces often open up ‘worlds’ that our students do not have the maturity to understand or life experiences to enter safely
