The Annual ATLAS Camp run by Lord Summers occurred at the end of term 3, which had two of our students attend. ATLAS Camp is a weekend camp for teenagers from a refugee or newly migrated background. Activities and entertainment are designed with the aim to help participants build self-confidence, share in cultural exchange, make new friends, try new experiences and create a sense of belonging and identity to help participants adjust to a new life in Australia. The program also promotes mutual understanding amongst multicultural youth and volunteer staff.

Glenroy College Environmental Group involved students receiving education for CERES, on sustainability and horticulture. The students applied their knowledge in the development of a native garden which involved the student digging and preparing an area of the school then planting a range of native plants. The Environmental Group will continue to develop and implement initiatives around the school and will have termly educational excursions to CERES, which aim to further develop the knowledge and skills of our students.
