3RD SUNDAY OF ADVENT

Yesterday was the third Sunday of Advent. The Advent wreath has four candles - one is lit each Sunday of the four weeks of Advent. Each candle represents a new focus and time of reflection. The third week of Advent is the candle of joy. Also known as the "shepherd candle," it is in this third week of advent that we rejoice for the coming King. The shepherds experienced joy at the good news of the birth of the Messiah

PRAYER

Loving God,

As we reach the end of this school year, We pause to give thanks for the many blessings You have shared with the St. Liborius school community. For the lessons learned, the friendships formed, And the memories made, we are truly grateful.

We thank You for the support of our parents and caregivers, And the enthusiasm of our students, Who have worked together in faith and love.

As we prepare for a season of rest and renewal, May Your spirit of peace fill our hearts. Help us carry the values we’ve nurtured here— Respect, kindness, and a thirst for knowledge— Into our homes and communities.

We ask for Your blessing on those who are leaving us. May they step forward with confidence, Knowing that You walk with them always.

Lord, as we celebrate the accomplishments of this year, We entrust the future of our school into Your hands. May St. Liborius continue to be a place of faith, Learning, and inspiration for years to come.

Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
