Literacy
This term, students focused on narrative writing, showcasing the growth and understanding they’ve developed throughout 2024. Through a range of activities, they honed their skills in crafting engaging plots, developing characters, and setting vivid scenes. Students had the opportunity to reflect on their progress and apply new techniques, creating compelling stories that demonstrated their improved narrative writing abilities. Their creativity and hard work truly shone!
Maths
This term, students explored Cartesian planes and demonstrated their understanding through a variety of creative strategies and activities. They plotted points, interpreted coordinates, and tackled challenges to deepen their grasp of this mathematical concept. By using different approaches, students were able to showcase their problem-solving skills and develop a comprehensive understanding of Cartesian planes in an engaging and hands-on way!
Humanities
This term in Humanities, students explored Business and Economics through an exciting inquiry cycle centered on planning a family holiday to an overseas destination. They worked within a set budget to account for key expenses, including airfares, accommodation, food, and activities for a 7-day trip. This project encouraged students to collaborate with their peers, brainstorm creative solutions, and make thoughtful financial decisions. It was an engaging way to apply real-world skills while fostering teamwork and critical thinking!
End of Year Excursion
The End-of-Year Excursion to Gravity Zone and Ballam Park was an action-packed day filled with excitement! Students bounced, flipped, and ran their way into endless fun, with plenty of laughter and energy to go around. The highlight for many was the thrilling games of laser tag, where they teamed up for some friendly competition. At Ballam Park, students enjoyed quality time with their peers, sharing moments of joy and celebration to wrap up an incredible year. What a fantastic way to end the school year!
Christmas Concert
Our Christmas Concert on Thursday, 12th December was a huge success! Each student had a fantastic time showcasing their talents and spreading holiday cheer. A big thank you to our raffle prize sponsors—Jaycar, Burson Auto Parts, and Waverley Auto Group—for their generosity, and to TheirCare for their continued support with fundraising efforts. We’re so grateful for the community spirit that made this event so memorable!
