Well what a year it has been! We have had so much fun and raised a lot of money for our school along the way!
We started off the year with the Eastland Shop for Your Schools Competition where we achieved second prize of $7000 which is incredible!
In Term 1 - we welcomed the new prep parents to the school at Bubbles and Tears, had a blast at the Family Fun night, and enjoyed Hot Cross Buns at Easter; raising $495 for the term.
Term 2 was jam packed with fun at our Despicable Me 4 Movie Night, Parents went 'Back to School' at the Trivia Night and we purchased gifts for our loved ones at the Mother's Day / Special Persons stall. We raised an additional $2598 for the school.
The highlight of Term 3 was the Disco Night - where we boogied the night away. Gifts were purchased at the Father's Day / Special Persons stall and we cooked up some yummy snags at the Bunnings BBQ - another $2476 for the term.
To finish off the year we held a Chocolate Toss at the Maroondah Festival, and got colourful at the Colour Run! We spread the festive cheer around Heathmont and surrounds with our Big Red Bows and will finish off the year at the Carols with the Christmas bake sale and Chocolate Raffle. Adding $4931 (and counting) towards the 2024 fundraising goal.
I'm so proud to announce that we have raised over $10,500 so far for the year! It is an incredible effort by our PFA and school community. Our fundraising for 2024 has allowed us to complete the following:
- New Gaga Pit
- Upgrade ELC facilities and furniture
- Purchase new library shelving
- Purchase new library seating
Thank you to the PFA volunteers Robyn Revell, Kirsty Barre, Frances D'Oyley-Carter, Monique Mafrici, Gloria Bourke and Lakshimitattai Venkatathri who have all worked tirelessly throughout the year on all of the events, I appreciate all your efforts. And to the school community thank you for participating, donating money and supporting our events - it is what makes our school so great!
We look forward to another fun year at Marlborough in 2025.
