Literacy: Biographies of Change Makers

This term, our budding writers delved into the lives of remarkable changemakers, creating detailed biographies that showcased their research and storytelling skills. To celebrate their hard work, we held an expo where students proudly presented their projects. Some even dressed up as their chosen changemakers, adding an extra layer of creativity and fun to the event.

Mathematics: Cracking the Code of Algebra

In Mathematics, our focus has been on algebra. Students have been solving problems involving missing numbers and exploring number patterns. They’ve shown great persistence and curiosity while learning to decipher these mathematical puzzles, building skills that will serve them in future challenges.

Inquiry: Designing a Nation

As part of our Geography unit, students have been working on an exciting country-creation project. They are designing their own nations, complete with unique financial systems, forms of government, and flags. This hands-on project has sparked creativity and critical thinking, as students consider what it takes to build a thriving community.

Camp Lord Somers

The 5/6 students had an unforgettable experience at Camp Lord Somers on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula. They enjoyed a variety of activities, including kayaking, pizza-making, beach walks, and raft building. A highlight of the camp was spotting dolphins during their beach adventures, leaving everyone in awe of nature’s beauty. This camp was a wonderful way to wrap up the year with teamwork, exploration, and plenty of fun.
