Learning Diversity & Wellbeing

The PBL expectations that students have learnt over the past two weeks are the following:

  • I can tell a staff member when I feel unsafe
  • I use equipment for its intended use

The important details from the lesson’s were:

I can tell a staff member when I feel unsafe

  • We all have the right to feel safe at school
  • Going to a staff member helps us deal with difficult situations
  • It reduces the risk of conflict
  • It empowers us to be a part of the problem solving

I use equipment for its intended use

  • We use equipment safely to keep everyone safe
  • We respect all equipment that belongs to the school and others

As we approach the end of the year we encourage students to start cashing in their Dojo’s as the Dojo’s won’t be carried forward to next year.

Please continue to check in with your child and ask them about the weekly PBL lesson and what the behaviour expectation is for the week.

At the upcoming school closure day on 6/12/24 our staff will be participating in Day 2 of the Berry Street Education Model training. The next domain is Relationship, we will be guided to explore how positive relational classroom management strategies can be implemented to promote on-task learning. We look forward to sharing more about this day with you.
