Message from the Principal
St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.
Dear Families,
Welcome to Week 9 of Term 4!
This week we entered into the season of Advent. A time when we live in hope, preparing with anticipation for the birth of Jesus, which we celebrate at Christmas. Our Year 5 /6 students led the school in a prayer service on Monday, where we were reminded of the symbols of Advent:
We also reflected on Advent being a time to prepare ourselves for the coming of Jesus and think about how we bring about a kingdom of hope, peace , love and joy in our daily lives
Our Year 6 students are preparing to leave the security of St Peter's and head off to Secondary school. We will be celebrating their graduation next week. Our newest Foundation students have finished their orientation sessions and we welcomed parents and carers to an information session last week. For both these groups, a time of preparation and anticipation lies ahead.
There will be a smaller edition of the newsletter next week where I will share staffing and classes for 2025. Students will engage in a transition session next Friday, 13 December where they will meet their teacher and classmates for 2025.
A reminder that Friday 6 December is a closure day
