Library News

Visiting Author

We are thrilled to share that award-winning author Katrina Nannestad recently visited our school library, creating a buzz of excitement among our students. Year 5 students have been avidly reading her historical novel, "We Are Wolves" and were eager to meet the creative mind behind their class novel.

Katrina captivated an audience of students from grades 5, 6, and year 9 with her engaging presentation, sharing insights into her writing process and the inspiration for her characters. It was an inspiring event that left our young readers more enthusiastic about literature and storytelling.

Reading Challenges

This term, Years 7, 8, and 9 have been participating in reading challenges. It's been great to see them actively engaged in reading and sharing their book reviews! Well done to all who participated. Next term our 5/6 students will be participating in a Beanstack Reading Challenge.

All primary students are encouraged to participate in the Premier's Reading Challenge which will run until 6 September. Please refer to the correspondence sent home last week for more information, including login details.

Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable term break.

Happy reading!
