An Invitation for the Choir Members

Members of the choir have been invited via Operoo to join me in leading the singing of the Mass hymns for the Confirmation Commitment Mass this Saturday, June 22nd and at the Confirmation Sacramental Mass on July 27th, both at 6:00 pm. Parents and carers of the choir children, please keep an eye out for this Operoo form and respond accordingly. I look forward to working with as many of the choir members as possible to lead the hymns at these special events. 

Performing Arts: Learning about Rhythm, Pitch and Beat in Foundation

The Foundation students have been learning to play a range of short tunes on the chime bars. They have been learning about the importance of playing their instrument to the beat, choosing to play notes of the correct pitch and hearing the difference between the rhythm and the beat in music. The Foundation students have also enjoyed beginning to learn about basic chords by playing notes in harmony for the songs ‘My Pets’ and ‘Tim the Dinosaur’ on the chime bars.
