Thank A First Responder Day
To all the incredible first responders in the St Brendan community, we extend our thanks. Your dedication, bravery, and selflessness make our community a safer and better place.
We also want to express our gratitude to those who took the time to nominate these people.
The SRC/Student Voice Team, together with the students of our first responders, has created a special video to honour and thank each one of you for your unwavering service to society.
Thank you for all that you do!

St Brendan’s School TV
Because parenting doesn't come with instructions, SchoolTV is a wellbeing resource implemented at our school to help support you in the challenges of modern-day parenting relating to youth mental health and wellbeing. Parenting is a learning journey and SchoolTV supports families by providing credible information from trusted sources with practical strategies to help alleviate some of the challenges being faced by young people today.
Watch video interviews with leading wellbeing specialists and browse a library of resources. Each topic is accompanied by factsheets, podcasts, books, articles, apps and other videos.
This award-winning resource helps families build relationships, foster connections, enable understanding and break down barriers to navigate a pathway towards better mental health and wellbeing for young people. It will assist you in starting those conversations on topics that can sometimes be awkward or difficult to tackle.
Parents and caregivers are the greatest influence on a young person's life and SchoolTV focuses on empowering confident parenting.

Student Suggestions and Student Voice
Our Student Voice Team has introduced two new practices to better hear students' suggestions, problems, concerns, or challenges. These practices provide an additional avenue for students to share their thoughts, beyond just speaking with staff members or trusted adults in their lives.
A Google Form is available on the Student Portal where students can communicate anything they wish. For younger students, the SRC (Student Voice Team) has decided to act as a conduit, allowing these students to share their concerns or suggestions with the SRC members. The SRC can then either report these concerns or suggestions to me directly or fill out the Google Form on behalf of the younger students. To help younger students identify them, the older students have created a poster with their faces and names.
This initiative is a powerful way to ensure that every student knows they will always be heard and that there is always someone to talk to within the St Brendan’s Community.
