Premiers' Reading Challenge 2024

Our final update for Term 2.....we are half way now.

 

So far together as a school we have read and logged…….6621 BOOKS!

 

For the Prep to Year 2 levels the leaderboard so far is:

1st - Year 1 (only by 30 books!), then Year 2 then Preps

1st - Year 5, then Year 6, Year 3 and Year 4

Student login and password details are available from your classroom teacher.  The highest reading class will receive a $50 scholastic voucher to purchase classroom books. The top 10 students across the school will be recognised at Assembly with a special badge.  All the details are located on our school website here.

 

The PRC continues throughout the school holidays and most of Term 3 so if you haven’t started it is not too late. We will bring you another report next Term so keep reading and logging your books everybody!

Here is your child/ren's borrow day so that you might help remind them to pop their library book in their school bag the night before.

 

Borrowing Days

Monday : Foundation, Year 2 and 1/14

Wednesday: Year 1/12, 1/13, 1/15, 1/16, Year 6 and Year 3

Friday: Year 4 and Year 5

 

Library Website

library.langwarrinparkps.vic.edu.au is our Library search website listing every single book on our shelves along with Clickview videos.  Instructions on how to log your child into this page are located on the home page, however families can browse without a login too.  In this space you can view your child/ren's current loans, loan history, write book reviews, reserve books, and create a reading list.  In the Quicklists tab is a Premiers' Reading Challenge tab which lists all the Challenge books in our library.
