Week 8 & 9 Updates

Visual Arts

Over the past two weeks, our visual arts students have embarked on an journey, immersing themselves in a variety of creative activities that showcase their growing skills and imagination. They have sculpted, painted, researched, drawn, made insightful connections, and even ventured into eco-friendly practices by using recycled paper. Our young sculptors have transformed raw materials into stunning three-dimensional art pieces, honing their spatial thinking and material manipulation skills. Painting sessions have been vibrant and creative, with students exploring different techniques and styles to express their emotions and ideas vividly. Research has played a crucial role, providing valuable insights from art history and contemporary trends that inform their creations. Our Preps have embraced sustainability, by using recycled paper, demonstrating that eco-friendly practices can enhance artistic excellence.

Performing Arts

The Grade Prep-2 students have been working through their ukulele lessons. Students have learned about the strings and frets, and are working on learning to play chord charts and TAB sheets.

Grade 3 students have made a start on their choice-based program. Students chose to play a song on either keyboard, guitar or ukulele. It's been great to see students working independently to put their knowledge and skills into practice!
