Peter Combe Incursion
On Wednesday 5th June, Carnegie Primary School was incredibly spoiled to have the fantastic musician and child’s entertainer, Peter Combe, perform to the junior school. With a guitar in his hand, he belted out countless catchy tunes for the kids and teachers to sing and dance along to. Everyone got up and about for the crowd favourites, including ‘Wash Your Face with Orange Juice’, ‘Spaghetti Bolognaise’, ‘Newspaper Mama’ and ‘Quirky Berserky’.
This term, the juniors practised incredibly hard with their classroom teachers and specialists at learning the dance moves to his hit song, ‘Ting Tang Teng Tong’. Some students were even lucky enough to hop up on stage and perform alongside Peter Combe. Being such a hit, it was extra special for the students to even perform their dance in front of the whole school during our Friday afternoon assembly.
This incursion was incredibly special and hopefully it will forever be a memory for our students… and some of our teachers, who too have either themselves or their children grown up with his songs.
