Assemblies Update

We have an exciting change to our CPS assemblies that we believe will enhance our students' experiences and foster a stronger sense of community within our school. The purpose of our assemblies is to build culture, share aspects of school life, celebrate achievements, give student agency and open our school to our parent and carer community.

After careful consideration and feedback from both staff and students, we have decided to implement fortnightly whole school assemblies and fortnightly junior, middle and senior get-togethers starting from term 3. They will be structured in the following way:

Fortnightly Assemblies

These whole school assemblies will continue to be held in the Hall of Champions on Fridays at 3pm on the odd weeks of term. This change is aimed at optimising the time spent in assemblies while ensuring that key messages, celebrations, and student achievements are effectively communicated and celebrated.

Even Week Get-Togethers

During even weeks of the term, our teams will organise Junior, Middle and Senior get-togethers. These gatherings will offer students opportunities to have a voice, showcase performances, and engage in more intimate discussions. The Get-Togethers provide an alternative for students who may feel overwhelmed during whole school assemblies to participate in a smaller, more supportive setting.

Parents are most welcome to attend these get-togethers as well to witness the camaraderie and activities taking place. Get-togethers will take place on Friday afternoons in the Hall of Champions.

These events provide an excellent opportunity for you to participate and engage with the broader school community.

Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding as we strive to create the best possible educational environment for our students. We look forward to continuing to work together to support the growth and success of our students.
