Sustainability - ResourceSmart Schools Program

Our school has been a part of the ResourceSmart Schools (RSS) sustainability program for the last two years, and we are thrilled to announce some of the amazing things our Sustainability Team has been doing this year, along with sharing some of the fantastic help and guidance we have received from RSS. This initiative is helping us take important strides toward becoming more environmentally responsible. So far this year, we have implemented a rubbish pick-up roster, appointed regular compost and recycling monitors, and introduced new recycling signage around the school. Additionally, we conducted a thorough waste and litter audit to understand and improve our waste management practices.

Looking ahead, we have even more exciting plans! We have arranged a Sustainability Incursion to educate and inspire our middle and senior students about sustainable practices regarding litter outside. We also plan on introducing Wrapper Free Wednesdays to encourage waste reduction, and tin can collections, and we have a series of engaging educational activities lined up to further our commitment to sustainability. Together, we are making a positive impact on our environment!
