We're crazy for Caritas!
Caritas in Fiji
The population in Fiji is 935 000. In Fiji, people sleep on the floor. That means they have no bed like us. When they wake up, they say a prayer, that is similar to here. They cook on a fire and have no stove. They also eat breakfast on the floor with their family. They keep water hot in a thermos. They do not have instant hot water. They do farming as a family for vegetables. They water their plants with a watering can, not a hose. They pack chillies to sell. They take classes. They sell their produce. They go and feed the pigs. They weave carpets and baskets altogether publicly. They use reeds for weaving. They have dinner on a table together as a family. They eat fruit from their gardens. They drink coconut water. They play games together.
You should bring your money in for Caritas because they can help these people live a better life by using our money to build things. Kabir (3W)
Thank you to everyone who wore crazy socks this week and also for your generosity.
Crazy Hair Day
Next Wednesday, 18 March will be our final Crazy Day for 2026, and it will be Crazy Hair Day! Thank you for your support in building the kingdom of God here at Holy Family as we model helping others in need.
Together we can make a difference.

Is there anyone in Year 4 who would like to read at our Youth Mass on Sunday March 15? Please email me if your child would like to help out.
The "Domestic Church"
Brigid Faure (parent in Year 2) sent me this email about the "Lent in a Bag" sent to all families last week. I thought I would share it to encourage other parents in your beautiful role as the first faith educators of your children. How is your family using the bag?
"We have placed our Project Compassion box in pride of place at home, and it has already sparked some lovely conversations. Giselle has been especially keen to find extra chores around the house so she can earn money to put into the box!
The acts kindness challenge is on our fridge, and Giselle is enjoying colouring in the boxes. It’s been a beautiful daily reminder of the small acts of kindness we can do for others. We’ve also enjoyed spending time together making meals and reflecting on how sharing what we have can truly make a difference."
If anyone else has a lovely story to share like the one above, please feel free to email me!
Praying in Lent
The Pope's Prayer for Peace this Month. Perhaps print it out and pray during March at home.

Thank you to all the families who took on something extra and came to help make S
