Diocesan Trials
Last Friday, our talented athletes travelled to UNE Armidale to compete in the Diocesan Trials for Rugby League, Football (Soccer) and Netball.
We are incredibly proud of the sportsmanship and grit displayed by every student who attended. They represented our school values with excellence both on and off the field. A massive congratulations to the following students on their selection into the Armidale Diocesan Teams:
- Rugby League: Brax and Chaise
- Netball: Peyton, Annalise and Mackenzie
Girls' Football (Soccer): Shelby
We wish these students the best of luck as they move forward to represent the Diocese!

Jai, Nash, Nate and Oliver represented St Edward's at the 2026 Winter Soccer Trials.
Basketball - Year 3/4 Girls
We are on a mission to grow our girls' basketball community and we need your help to spread the word. Whether your daughter is a seasoned pro on the driveway, or has never picked up a ball before, we want her on the court!
- Who: Girls in Year 3 & 4 (Confident Year 2's are also very welcome!)
- When: Thursday 5th & 12th March
- Time: 5:30pm
- Where: Tamworth Sports Dome - Show Court
- Cost: FREE!

2026 - Term 2 - 10-week program
We have players who want to play going forward and coaches who would like to continue coaching.
This is open to all schools in and around the Tamworth area. No previous experience is necessary.
All participation will require Individual registrations via Rugby Xplorer, but until registrations are open, please in the meantime express your individual or team nominations by the link below.
Cost: $80 per male participant and $50 per female participant.

Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council
The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council is a body representative of the Catholic Education Office, Principals and Sports Coordinators from all Diocesan Primary Schools. The ADPSC offers a pathway for Armidale Diocesan students in most sports.
