Fourth Sunday of Lent

This week, we open our eyes to see the love of God in all people. We pray for those in need, the sad, the lonely and those in conflict.

We pray for peace in our world.

This Friday, 13th March is our second FREE HAT Friday for 2026. Students are asked to leave their school hat at home and wear another hat of their choice to remind us of others during Lent.

No gold coin is needed, as this is now covered in our school fees, as previously communicated.

First Confession

First Confession is next Tuesday, 17th March at 4.00pm. Please be seated quietly in the church by 3.50pm.

We pray for the candidates as they complete their second sacrament and continue to grow in their faith.

Next Tuesday, 17th March students are encouraged to wear green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Please see further information in General News.

St. Patrick was a Bishop and missionary in Ireland and is the patron saint of Ireland. He followed his faith, trusted God and spread God’s message of love to all. He often used shamrocks to explain the Holy Trinity; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. After years of living in poverty, traveling and enduring much suffering because of his faith, he died March 17, 461.

Caritas - Project Compassion

During Lent, we try to think of others, especially those less fortunate. Project Compassion is a wonderful program run by Caritas Australia, to raise funds for communities in need. Each student has received a money box for families to make donations throughout Lent. These will be collected at the end of the term. Each classroom will have a donation box to encourage students to help those in need.

Upcoming Dates:

  • Friday, 13th March - Free Hat Friday
  • Tuesday, 17th March - St. Patrick's Mufti Day
  • Tuesday, 17th March - First Confession - 4.00pm, Mary Help of Christians Church
  • Sunday, 29th March - Years 2 & 5 Family Mass (Palm Sunday)
