Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,
NAPLAN
After some technical difficulties yesterday in Year 5, we have successfully commenced NAPLAN today. Students in Year 3 have now completed both the Writing and Reading assessments, and Year 5 students have completed their Writing assessment. Well done to all of the students so far. It has been really pleasing to see everyone putting in their best efforts! We look forward to continuing our NAPLAN assessments tomorrow and next week.
Further information about NAPLAN is available on the NESA website (https://www.nsw.gov.au/education-and-training/nesa/naplan) and the NAP website (https://www.nap.edu.au/naplan/for-parents-carers).
If you have any questions about NAPLAN, please contact your child’s teacher.

Learning Conversations
This term, you have the opportunity to meet with your child's teacher in order to discuss their learning progress. This meeting is important, not only for reviewing your child's current progress, but also for coming up with strategies to ensure continued growth.
At the meeting you will receive your child's Term 1 learning progress summary. The progress summary is a document that shows the progress that your child is making towards completing the learning requirements for their grade. They also provide an opportunity for the student and teacher to share priority areas for improvement for the next term. Please note these meetings are three way conversations, involving the parent/carer, child and teacher where possible.
To date there have been over 250 parents who have booked in to see their child's teacher. If you haven't booked your spot yet, please do so by heading to:
Compass app -> More -> Conferences.
If you are having technical difficulties, please contact our office for support.
(please note that in Term 1, these meetings are for families of students in Years 1 - 6)
