2026 School Musical

Beauty and the Beast Auditions Commence!
The annual Kinross Wolaroi musical is always a highlight of the school calendar, bringing together students from across the Senior Years to create something truly memorable. This year, we are excited to present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast—a beloved classic full of rich characters, uplifting messages, and wonderful opportunities for students to showcase their talents both onstage and behind the scenes.
Auditions for the production will begin this Friday 6 February, and will take place in the Performance Theatre. All students from Years 7 to 12 are warmly encouraged to take part, whether they are experienced performers or trying something new for the first time. The audition process has been designed to be welcoming, supportive, and enjoyable. Students will complete a vocal audition (singing) and a dance audition (movers & dancers options available).
Beauty and the Beast offers an exciting variety of roles—from leads such as Belle, the Beast, Gaston, and Mrs Potts, to the lively ensemble portraying villagers, enchanted objects, and castle inhabitants. Every role contributes to the magic of the production, and we aim to create a cast where students feel valued, challenged, and proud of the work they bring to the stage.
In addition to performing roles, the musical welcomes students interested in production element and we will put out an “Expression of Interest” for backstage crew once we have cast the show. These positions are essential to the success of the show, offering hands-on experience in creativity, teamwork, and live performance support.
All audition information—including times, preparation materials, expectations, and production schedule—can be found on The HUB under the Musical Hub Page or the relevant Year Page. Families are encouraged to review this information with their child to ensure they feel well-prepared and confident heading into the audition process.
