From the Head of Senior School
Mr Trent Chapman, Executive Director - Head of Senior School
The year has begun with a wonderful sense of positivity and purpose across the Senior School. I want to congratulate all students on an excellent start; they have approached the new year with enthusiasm and have settled quickly into productive routines. Our new wellbeing structures and Compass classes have also commenced smoothly, creating a strong foundation for the months ahead. My thanks go to all staff and students for their hard work and support in ensuring such a calm and successful beginning to the year. We look forward to building on this momentum as 2026 continues to unfold.
Congratulations to Brown House on their impressive victory at the recent Swimming Carnival. Thanks must go to all staff for their organisation, commitment and support throughout what was an incredibly hot day; your efforts ensured an enjoyable experience for all students.
The Championship Swimming Carnival will take place on Friday 27 February from 1.00pm–6.00 pm at the School's Eric Solling Pool, with a list of successful competitors to be published by the end of the week.

A new Digital Citizenship Agreement for students will be released this week via EdSmart, with parents receiving the form by email. It will also be available on the Hub and the school website. Students will review and acknowledge the agreement during Community Time, and parents are asked to confirm they have received it and discussed the key expectations with their child. Section 3.5 of the agreement states: “I understand class time is learning time. I will not play games, listen to music, or watch movies, television shows, or videos online unless as part of a lesson or study period activity.” In line with this, the school campus, including the library and other common areas, is now a gaming free zone during the school day. These expectations support a focused learning environment and help reinforce positive digital habits for all students.
