Welcome to Prep!

It’s been a great start to the Prep year, and students have settled in well. This week focused on getting familiar with the classroom, the school, and daily routines.

On the first day, students explored the classroom through a picture scavenger hunt and enjoyed walking around the school to find playtime spots for the first few weeks. Ask your child if they can remember them! (Hint: the larger playground uphill and the sandpit next to it.)

On Thursday, classroom expectations were introduced. Students read Have You Filled a Bucket Today? and discussed how to be kind and supportive “bucket fillers.” Together, the class chose expected behaviours and signed a class agreement.

Important Reminders:

• Testing starts on Friday

• Full days begin next week

• Please ensure your child has a hat in their bag every day to stay sun smart during playtime

• Students come into the classroom at 8:50 am to begin our calm morning routine
