Year 2 Mainstream 

What we have been up to: 

Students have loved bringing in their flying machines and presenting their work to the class. They have shared how they have moved through the Design Process. It has been so exciting to see their machines fly high, far and stay at for a long time!

Maths:

We have continued connecting maths to real world contexts. We have continued to investigate money and students really enjoyed creating their own shops, making things to sell, pricing these items and giving change when the shops were open.

English:

In writing we finished the year on a high with the Year 2 book launch last Friday.  Students loved presenting their work to you and we would like to thank everyone for coming to celebrate their achievements.  

Students in Stephanie’s group have been excited to reach the end of all the Little Learners Love Literacy Stages. To reinforce their learning, this week we have continued reviewing stages Stages 7.4. Students in Matt’s group have reached stage 7.3 and will complete revision in the last week of term.

What’s to come in the next two weeks:

As we come to the end of Term 4, we have all been reflecting on what a great year of learning 2025 has been. Thank you for all the support we have watched the Year 2s thrive and we feel super confident about them all heading up to year 3.
