What a great year of music and performing arts we’ve had in 2025!

…And all of the music that happens in the classrooms.

In the last few weeks in the Classroom Music, Yrs P-2 have been hearing the Christmas Story and music from The Nutcracker. We have talked about the music in its cultural context, been dramatic in acting out the story and have done an extra fun parachute activity!

We use the parachute to explore form in music (but mainly we have fun!).

In Yr 3/4 we used some music technology and thought about when people use computers in music. Students can explore Chrome Music Lab at home (I know many have already). These classes also took part in the Nutcracker parachute activity with great enthusiasm!
