Spanish

In Spanish we have been doing a unit on 'Mi casa, La casa' (My house, the house)

We have looked at some Gaudi architecture from Barcelona, Spain.

We followed on to learn the names of rooms and some items found in a house. 

We then planned 2D houses and will construct cardboard houses then label the rooms and items in Spanish. 

Students have been very creative in their planning.

When completed, we will be putting this all together to display as a ‘Barrio’(neighborhood) down the corridor.  

Media Arts

In Media Arts, we have been learning and creating our own Stop motion animations.

Since this was a bit hit last year with some students, this last year we are doing it again with more detail with the whole school. 

We have been learning to work in groups on the iPad. We are using the app I Can Animate. The Foundation 1 children worked as a class to make a stop animation on their injury unit of space.

The Grade 2-3 have uploaded their videos onto iMovie today and created Titles, Credits and sound to them. Great results and it has been a great learning experience through experimenting and collaboration.

Grades 3 to 6 will work on this next week.
