Principal's Message
Dear Parents/Carers,
END OF TERM 3
What a busy Term we just had. Two school camps, sporting, social and academic events, works on the gymnasium commenced, the construction of the new basketball/netball court, plus great classroom programs ensured that there was never a dull moment.
I hope everyone takes the opportunity to rest up over the next two weeks.
If you are lucky enough to get away somewhere, I hope you have a wonderful and safe time but if you’re at home I hope you all have a restful break.
Term 4 commences on Monday 7th October 2024.
FAREWELL LOUISE GRACE
We farewell Louise Grace this week as her 11 year career at Warrnambool Primary School comes to an end.
Louise has always dedicated herself to the well-being and educational well-being of the students in her care.
We wish Louise all the very best for the future.
FOOTY BBQ LUNCH - FRIDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER 2024
This week we were very excited to have our footy BBQ lunch to complete the term. We sold over 250 sausages, 65 burgers and 220 juices which was a great result.
We must thank all of our volunteers from staff and the parent body. This fantastic event would not have been able to take place without everyone’s support.
We also thank our local businesses for supporting our lunch. I would like to make special mention to Baker’s Delight in Norfolk Plaza for their continued support of our school and for donating the bread and rolls.
Please note we envisage the Footy Breakfast to return bigger and better in 2025.
BUNNINGS BBQ FUNDRAISER - SUNDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER 2024
We were incredibly fortunate that the weather was sunny on Sunday for our Bunnings BBQ fundraiser. Weather either side of Sunday was incredibly difficult, so we counted our blessings.
It was a long day for the volunteers but an enjoyable one and in the end it was quite profitable. We were able to raise nearly $1500 which will go towards resourcing our great school.
I would like to thank our volunteers across the staffing and parent body but Skye Nichols deserves our greatest thanks for co-ordinating the entire day and being on duty from start to finish.
We hope to do this again in 2025.
SAM TURNER SCOUTING AWARD
One of our students, Sam Turner has been awarded the Grey Wolf award at Warrnambool Tooram Cubs this week.
The Grey Wolf Award is the highest award in the Cub Scout Section. It is considered the pinnacle of your Scouting at this stage and is a milestone in Sam’s Scouting life.
The Grey Wolf Award brings together the core elements of the Achievement Pathways as well as a Personal Development Course, an Adventurous Journey and a Personal Reflection.
Sam has been consistently working towards this award over the past few years and is very excited with his achievement.
We congratulate Sam on his award and thank the Warrnambool Tooram Scouts for the great work they have done and continue to do across our city.
