From the Principal

We would like to acknowledge the original custodians of this land

and waterways and pay our respects to the Elders past and

present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions,

the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.

In Faith we will show..... Respect, Empathy, Inclusion, Excellence!

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our newsletter this week highlights the end of an absolutely fantastic term at St Anthony's Primary School.

We have accomplished so much that I'm not sure where to begin.  We have welcomed our 2025 Prep students in for a number of days to get to know our school and have a Big School Experience. Our wonderful Preps celebrated 100 days of school. What an achievement!

Our Year 4 students were reverent in making their Sacrament of First Eucharist, which was a celebration for our school community.

CBCA Book Week saw a number of amazing authors visit our school and speak to students in all year levels and our Book Fair was not only enjoyable but raised valuable funds to purchase educational supplies.

In the classroom students have continued to work diligently across the curriculum. This has included many different topics in Mathematics, Reading, Writing, Religion and more!

This leads us to our Integrated Unit focus for this Term; Dance, Music and Drama, and the absolutely brilliant celebration of these concepts in our whole school production of our adaptation of The Wizard of Oz!

How fortunate are we to have on staff our amazing director, Tracey Birthisel, who along with the wonderful and dedicated staff,  was able to bring together such an fantastic presentation of The Wizard of Oz.  The staff can only work their magic when the children are totally engaged throughout the term and the result was evident on the night.  We are so very proud of the acting, singing and dance moves shown by all students. The atmosphere at the Glen Eira Town Hall was unbelievable, and celebrating with our entire community was the best possible way to finish off our term!

Please see our special production page in this newsletter for the photos collated thus far. Don't forget to place your order for your copy of the recording.

At the beginning of Term Four please remember that students return to school dressed in full Summer Uniform and hats must be worn whenever outside.  "No hat, no play" policy will be in place for all outdoor activities.

Term 4 commences on Monday, 7th October

I hope that everyone has the chance to take a deep breath, relax and rejuvenate themselves over the holiday time. Please keep safe and take the time to celebrate your child's achievements this term.

Sincerely yours

Margaret Carlei
