Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.

May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

Year 6 Camp

It was with great delight and pride that Miss Bigmore and myself joined the Year 6 students and staff during their Melbourne Camp this week. The students had a fabulous time, enjoying the sights and sounds of Melbourne and were outstanding ambassadors for our school throughout the time. Parliament House, The Queen Victoria Market, the Shrine of Remembrance and the Old Melbourne Gaol were just a few of the highlights experienced just in the time that I was with the group. An amazing experience for all involved!

Student Led Conferences

Both teachers and students are working hard to assess and evaluate Term Three learning progress of our students F-6. All families will have received the Student Interim Report via email yesterday and we look forward to welcoming families to our Student Led Conferences tomorrow. We are very proud that our students play a vital role of responsibility in engaging with their family and teacher to share and celebrate the progress of their learning.

Happy Holidays!

We wish all of our families and students a safe and happy holiday break over the next two weeks. We sincerely thank all of our families for their engagement, support and vital learning partnerships through Term Three and we look forward to welcoming you all back to work through the final term of the year.

With best wishes,

Kylie Nissen.
