Term 3, Week 10
Dearest Parents, Guardians and Students,
As we bid farewell to Term 3, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey our Year 3 & 4 students have had over the past few months. It has been a term filled with growth, achievement, and unforgettable experiences. We are immensely proud of each child's progress and the enthusiasm they have shown in their learning.
In English, the Year 3 & 4 students have made remarkable strides in their reading and writing abilities. In Writing, students focused on further developing their skills in writing poetry and persuasive texts. They were exposed to various topics to explore, and participate in shared, modelled and independent writing. They were able to showcase their abilities during Book Fun Day, where they composed creative texts from various genres, engaged in fun reading activities, and participated in the character dress up, where they dressed up in incredible costumes!
Mathematics has been equally rewarding, as the students have learnt about various subtraction and division strategies, as well as about angles and time. Their problem-solving abilities have developed, and they have learned to approach challenges with determination and perseverance. We would also like to congratulate our Year 3 & 4 students who participated in the MATHS COMPETITION, well done to the team!
Throughout the term, Year 3&4 students have been busy with their Inquiry unit of work, which included the investigation of Australia. Students explored the topic Australia and a city or town of their choice. For this unit of work students were engaged in researching, creating a 3D Model and presenting their findings in a brochure format.
Finally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all parents and guardians for your continuous support throughout this term.
Wishing you all a wonderful break ahead and looking forward to an exciting and fulfilling Term 4!
Many thanks,
Year 3 & 4 Team
