Term 3, Week 8
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have a couple of exciting events coming up next week.
R U OK? Day – Thursday, 12th September
On Thursday, we will be supporting R U OK? Day, a national day dedicated to reminding everyone to check in with others and start meaningful conversations. R U OK? Day encourages us all to connect with those around us and support anyone who might be struggling. We invite students to wear something yellow to show their support for this important cause. Let’s make a positive difference in our community by simply asking, “Are you OK?”
Celebrating Our Lady’s Feast Day – Friday 13th September
On Friday, we will be celebrating Our Lady’s Feast Day with a special day of activities planned. Throughout the day, students will be participating in their house teams so students are to wear their house colour top and sports uniform. Lunch will be provided, including a sausage sizzle, drink, and donut. It’s sure to be a wonderful day of celebration and community!
Parent School Advisory Council: Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 17th September, commencing at 7.00pm. If you are interested in attending the meeting, please email Linda Glouftsis: lglouftsis@olps.vic.edu.au
On Tuesday 17th September, the Parish will be organising a sausage sizzle lunch here at school to raise money for the Parish Fete, which will be on Saturday 19th October. Order forms have been sent home, the cost will be $5.00 for a sausage in bread, donut and drink. For catering purposes, money and order forms are to be returned by 12th September.
Please check the school community calendar for planned events and activities for this term.
God Bless and have a lovely weekend.
