Match Report: Kinross Wolaroi School vs The King's School - 15 September

Ladies and gentlemen, gather round and let me entertain you with a tale of soccer splendor from the clash of titans on Sunday, 15 September!

Kinross Wolaroi’s Year 5 and 6 selective soccer team took to the field against The King's School in a match that promised thrills.

From the opening whistle, the atmosphere was electric, with both sides showing off their skills. The King's School, fresh off their Central West tour, had been unbeatable until this very game. Kinross, the only team to breach their defenses on tour, were determined to show that their recent WAS championship success was no fluke. And indeed, they did—scoring a remarkable goal that echoed their prowess on the field!

Despite a valiant effort, the match concluded with a final score of 4-1 in favor of The King’s School. But let’s not forget one of the day’s unsung heroes: Ashton Quinn-Woonton, our Year 10 referee, whose precise officiating ensured the game flowed smoothly and fairly.

To The King’s School, kudos on your victory, and to Kinross Wolaroi, hats off for making your mark and bringing flair to the pitch!

Western Area Schools (WAS) Inaugural Sports Gala Day Success!

On Wednesday 11 September, we had the privilege of hosting the inaugural Primary Western Area Schools (WAS) Inter-school Sports Gala Day. Teams from Orange Anglican Grammar and Macquarie Anglican Grammar Schools joined us for a day filled with friendly competition, teamwork, and community spirit.

Selected from Year 5 and 6, our students participated in Soccer, Netball, Hockey, Tennis, Touch Football, and Basketball. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to play competitive sports, refine their skills, and engage with peers from other schools.

We are thrilled to announce that our school triumphed, winning the carnival! This victory was a testament to the students' hard work, enthusiasm, and determination on the field and court.

A huge thank you to the parents who came out to support and cheer on the teams. Your encouragement means so much to the students and the school community. Also, a big shout-out to our dedicated staff who coached and guided our teams throughout the day. Their efforts were integral to our success.

Congratulations to all involved! We look forward to many more fantastic sporting events in the future.
