NUDE FOOD DAY…
Our 2024 Green Team facilitated our first Nude Food Day for 2024 on the 15th of August. We had a fantastic response right across our whole school so we would like to congratulate everybody for making the effort to support Nude Food. By doing this we are reducing waste that will eventually end up in landfill and, in turn, reducing our carbon footprint and the negative impact that has on our planet.
A special mention to the classes from each level that had the most nude food lunchboxes on the day…
Year Prep Anna
Year One Ariel
Year Two Zoe
Year Three Ellen
Year Four Nicole/Carla
Year Five Alex
Year Six Lauren
A St Joseph’s 👏👏👍👍 to all of those classes. Stay tuned for more Nude Food Days coming soon!!
Also, a big thank you to our amazing 2024 Green Team for all of the behind the scenes work that they do.
A St Joseph’s 👏👏👍👍 to them too!!
The Victorian Department of Education is conducting a student climate survey to better understand children and young people’s views on climate change. This will help ensure that our education system is responsive to students’ needs and will best equip them with the knowledge and skills critical for their future.
The survey will be conducted outside of school and can be accessed at this link or the QR Code. The survey is conducted anonymously; however, students are required to get their parent or guardian’s approval before participating. The survey closes on Friday 20th September 2024.
The information gained through the survey will be used to discern how Victorian children and young people want to learn about climate change at school. This research will inform curriculum and program design in the future.
