Sister School | Kawaguchi Kita High School visit

We recently welcomed 19 students and two teachers, Ms Junko Yamanoi and Mr Tatsuya Ishii, from Kawaguchi Kita High School as part of our Japanese exchange program with our Sister School. This program aims to foster cultural exchange, providing opportunities for our students to develop global perspectives, embrace diversity and create lasting international connections.

Thank you to Ms Tonia Hast, Ms Yuka Mukaiyama, Ms Seona Black, Ms Lian Fulton, Ms Judith Guzys-McAuliffe, Mr Cam Heyes, and our Languages Learning Area for their efforts supporting the visit. Thank you also to our wonderful host families who hosted students during the visit, and thank you to all staff for making our visitors welcome in some classes and at Frankston High School!

NAIDOC Week - visit from Kurnai College

On Wednesday 31 July, we hosted Mr Anthony Rodaughan, Principal of Kurnai College, along with Mr Hayden Edwards, staff member, to share in our celebration of NAIDOC Week. We also heard from Ms Matisse Knight, alumni of Frankston High School (Class of 2020), who spoke about her successes and experience as a proud Wiradjuri woman. Kurnai College are certainly a benchmark in their approach to community and their support and work with their indigenous students and the wider reaches of this, are inspiring.

We look forward to continuing to strengthen our approach within our school and the wider community. Thank you very much to Mr John Russell for making this visit possible. Thank you to Mrs Sarah Bahramis who organised the celebration with Mrs Jess Bambridge and the Year 9 Lead Class, supported by Mrs Stav Smaragdiou and Mrs Kate Forsyth.

Uniform Expectations

I would like to remind all students of our uniform expectations. Wearing the correct uniform not only represents our school with pride but also ensures a cohesive and respectful learning environment.

All students are expected to comply with the Schools Uniform Policy, which can be found on the school website. This includes wearing the winter school uniform as it is intended to be worn with the white shirt to be worn and collars to be visible. No pyjama pants under the skirt, no jewelry, no excessive make-up and/or accessories are to be worn to school. Students who have a legitimate reason for being out of uniform must provide a parent/carer note to explain the reason to the coordinators in the morning before classes commence to collect a Uniform Pass.

If you have any questions about the Uniform Policy, please speak with a member of the Year Level Coordinators.
