DIOCESAN ATHLETICS

The Primary Diocesan Athletics Carnival was held on Friday, 9th August at the Tamworth Regional Athletics Centre. 

Congratulations to our 8 school representatives for giving their all and having fun. 

Well done to our relay team comprising of Emily, Ivy, Aiden and Grace on qualifying to represent the Armidale Diocese at Glendale on Friday 13th September in the PP6 Small Schools Relay. We wish Grace, Emily, Aiden, Ivy, all the best in their preparations. More training will be offered at school when the oval dries out with some trips to Jubilee Oval as well. A reminder that all student registrations are due on Friday 23rd August 2024. Please follow the instructions from the handout children received last week to register.

TENNIS ~ TERM 3

Last Friday, we commenced our tennis coaching with Dale Martin at the Boggabri Tennis Courts. Dale is a qualified tennis coach who has worked with Sacred Heart for many years on fundamental movement skills to enhance tennis and gross motor proficiency. This has been made possible thanks to the Sporting Schools Government Grants, that we were fortunate to receive again this year. 

Lessons will take place on a Friday for sport commencing until Friday Week 9.

The school does have tennis racquets; however, if your child would like to bring their own, please ensure that their name is on it so that it doesn't get misplaced.

ADPSC NETBALL & SOCCER GALA DAY

The Armidale Diocesan Gala Day (Netball & Soccer) will be held on Thursday, 26th September, 2024 in Tamworth. Interested students in Yrs 3 - 6 are welcome to express their interest to myself.  If we have nominations, we will endeavour to join with another small school to make a team. Alternatively, we can add individual names to place them on a team for either sport.
