Japanese News Week 7

On August 8th, the Year 10 students from Strathmore Secondary School and students of their sister school, Akaigawa Junior Highschool from Japan came to visit EPS. The two Grade 5/6 students got to participated in exchanging of Japanese language and culture. Students introduced themselves to each other in Japanese, stating their names, age and what they like. Then students learnt simple facts about Sumo wresting. They made origami sumo wresters with the assistance of the high school students and had a sumo wrestling match and tournament with their origami sumo wrestlers. It was a great opportunity to use Japanese in a authentic and friendly environment. Many students expressed they had a wonderful time.
