VIETNAM VETERANS DAY
In the lead up to Vietnam Veterans Day commemorations, St Mary's College was incredibly grateful to our guest speaker MAJ Scott McMahon in sharing his invaluable insights and knowledge regarding the Vietnam War with our Year 8 students, including Australia's involvement and the fundamental links between ADF values and those of the College's. We appreciate your time and contribution to our student's learning experience.
Several our of College Leaders & families represented and paid respect to the Vietnam Veterans by attending the Vietnam Veterans Association of Mitchell Shire service held on Sunday 18th August. This commemorative service provided an opportunity for us to come together as a community to pay tribute to the Veterans and learn about their experiences. We thank our students for attending and to the Veterans for holding this service.
Last week the Year 6 students organised, co-ordinated and ran a wonderful three days of business stalls and activities. They had spent the first 6 weeks of the term preparing their business plans and putting their plans into order. The college staff and students enjoyed purchasing from these stalls over the three days....what a hive of activity it was.
August Birthdays...
Wishing Oliver, Olivia, Logan & Rory a very happy birthday.
