- VCE-Product Design and Technologiesstudents are working through Unit 2. The concept this term is to help build seating for the new outdoor classroom and BBQ area. By utilising the knowledge of Nick who has previously built seats for the school, we sat, measured and scrutinized his original design – using design thinking strategies. The creative constraints are to evaluate cultural influences on product design specifically those of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to collect and record information about culture of designers and end users. The students have each built a jig, drawn a design on the base and are currently using silicon to draw their work. The next section is to pour concrete and make a paver. Watch this space……...
