Chess Update:

In our last newsletter, we shared that our top Chess team, the Kings, just missed qualifying for the Nationals in Wellington by half a point.

We have since been informed the organisers made a mistake with our score total and we did qualify for Nationals. We are very proud of our Kings team for this awesome achievement.

For several reasons, we cannot take the team to Wellington ourselves, but an excellent alternative opportunity has arisen.

An interschool competition will take place in Auckland on Thursday, September 26. The event will run similarly to the one our teams attended at Titirangi Primary School.

Now that we know this, we will start practising again with our Kings team and get them used to playing using the clock timers.
