Felt Monsters

This term, Year 8's designed and made felt monsters in technology.  They had to design and create a mini-monster as a mini-version and practice for their main project for the term. They needed to draw a monster to be made out of felt and the skills included measuring and marking out on felt, cutting using fabric scissors, using embroidery thread to stitch using either a backstitch and/or decorative stitches such as a blanket stitch, and problem solving (this is, of course, in addition to the students threading their needles, tying a knot, and tying a finishing knot after doing their stitches!). Food Studies

It's always fun and tasty in Food Studies! This week, 7G made Pita Bread Pizzas, using a selection of toppings and filling the school kitchens with mouth watering aromas! YUM!
